Rel–$C^\infty$ structures on Gromov–Witten moduli spaces

چکیده
We show that moduli spaces of transversely cut-out (perturbed) pseudo-holomorphic curves in an almost complex manifold carry canonical relative smooth structures (relative to the space domain curves). The main point is these can be characterized by a universal property. tools required are ordinary gluing analysis combined with some fundamental results from polyfold theory Hofer--Wysocki--Zehnder.

Moduli spaces of surfaces and real structures
We give infinite series of groups Γ and of compact complex surfaces of general type S with fundamental group Γ such that 1) any surface S′ with the same Euler number as S, and fundamental group Γ, is diffeomorphic to S 2) the moduli space of S consists of exactly two connected components, exchanged by complex conjugation. Whence, i) on the one hand we give simple counter-examples to the DEF = D...
متن کاملInformal Complexification and Poisson Structures on Moduli Spaces
We show how the Cauchy (or, more generally, the Leray) residue formula can be understood as an informal complex analog of the Stokes formula. It allows one to treat the Poisson (and symplectic) structures on the moduli spaces of at connections on real manifolds and those structures on the moduli spaces of holomorphic bundles on complex manifolds in a parallel way.
متن کاملOn Operad Structures of Moduli Spaces and String Theory
We construct a real compactification of the moduli space of punctured rational algebraic curves and show how its geometry yields operads governing homotopy Lie algebras, gravity algebras and Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras. These algebras appeared recently in the context of string theory, and we give a simple deduction of these algebraic structures from the formal axioms of conformal field theory a...
متن کاملIntersections on Tropical Moduli Spaces
This article tries to answer the question: How far can the algebro-geometric theory of rational descendant Gromov-Witten invariants be carried over to the tropical world? Given the fact that our moduli spaces are non-compact, the answer is surprisingly positive: We discuss universal families and the string, divisor and dilaton equations, we prove a splitting lemma describing the intersection wi...
متن کاملTopological Dynamics on Moduli Spaces
Let M be a Riemann surface of genus g with m boundary components (circles). Let {γ1, γ2, . . . , γm} ⊂ π1(M) be the elements in the fundamental group corresponding to these m boundary components. The space of SU(2)-gauge equivalence classes of SU(2)connections, YM2(SU(2)), is the well-known Yang-Mills two space of quantum field theory. Inside YM2(SU(2)) is the moduli space M(SU(2)) of flat SU(2...
